The Dolls House Emporium is delighted to announce it was awarded the “Outstanding Customer Service Award” at Wednesday night’s prestigious ECMOD (European Catalogue and Mail Order Days) Direct Commerce Awards ceremony.
Shortlisted from hundreds of entries, The Dolls House Emporium, the UK’s leading designer and supplier of 1:12th dolls’ houses and accessories, was successful in beating off competition from some of the foremost companies in the catalogue and mail order sector to win the coveted award.
Designed to celebrate the excellence in direct and multi-channel retailing and distribution, ECMOD invited companies to enter its awards, which included categories such as Best All Round Business, Best Online Business and Best Catalogue Makeover. Entrants were then judged by a panel of experts with shortlisted businesses being invited to the awards ceremony. Held at the lavish Lancaster London Hotel, the event was attended by the leading lights of the catalogue and mail order world and presented by news reader Dermot Murnaghan.
The Dolls House Emporium received its award in recognition for its continuous dedication to customer service over the past 30 years. From its comprehensive Customer Relationship Management system that allows detailed customer information to be stored effectively and securely, to regular offers and incentives tailored to specific customers, every business process developed by The Dolls House Emporium is done with the customer experience in mind.
The company also has an ever increasing online community built through its presence on Facebook and Twitter, alongside its own blog and forum, all of which allow customers to ask questions, provide hints and tips and interact with other likeminded people.
“It is a fantastic honour to receive this award, which is a testament to the dedication of all our staff,” explains Jackie Lee, Managing Director at The Dolls House Emporium. “Since the company’s inception in 1979, the customer has always been at the forefront of everything we do, from the design of our houses and accessories, to the layout of our catalogue and website. No one knows the miniatures market better than our customers and we make sure we listen to every comment and act on that comment if it is within our power.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their support over the past thirty years and would like to ask them to continue sending us their suggestions and comments so we can make The Dolls House Emporium an even better company than it already is,” adds Jackie. “However, we would not have won this award with out the hard work of all our staff and to say thank you we have given them all an extra half day’s holiday – it seems the least we can do!”
